RetailX Europe TOP1000 Data Pack 2023

Corporate and reference data on the 2023 Top1000 European direct-selling retailers, brands and marketplaces.

"Love your report, but can I get the list please?"

Not yet sure if you want the full download? Look at the sample for free

This year, we are making the list available as an Excel file so that you can add to your CRM, tracker or other analysis.

No need to scrimp and scrape

While you could download the 2023 performance ranking report, scrape the list (published on page 8 through 15), and then spend 7 minutes per company getting the basics of name, address, URL, social media handles, stock ticker, stock price, turnover etc, you would only have a basic list after 7000 minutes – one that needs proofing, quality control and format checking.

If you want more information (linked group companies, significant countries of operation, holding company, web traffic, short description, the retailer’s own description) then you’ll realise that the 7000 minutes quickly balloons to at least twice that time… 🎈

The data fields in the download are set out below, but in summary, if you:

  • value your time at more than €5 an hour
  • want to get the data now, in a tractable form, rather than wait 3 weeks
  • download for £1000+VAT) – buyers outside of the UK will not be charged VAT

Then click and buy the data download now!

Small print?

  • This is the first time we’ve made the data available, so please let us know your thoughts – what more would you like? Are there different or better formats?
  • The licence allows you to upload the data into your CRM or analysis application. You are not allowed to repackage or resell the data, in whole or in part.
  • We will conduct a mid-year update of the information between January and February 2024. This will mainly cover financial reports filed between July 2023 and the update date, but will also include any other updates and corrections to the data. You will be offered the mid-year update for 50% of whatever you pay for the download.
  • Speaking of financial information, the data we cite is from annual accounts filed by the companies. These can be up to 18 months ago, depending upon the legal filing requirements, but it is the latest official number at the compilation date. Information is not available for private companies, in some filing jurisdictions, or where the retailer is a trading brand in a group rather than a standalone legal company. The data set has about 30% coverage of financial reporting data.
  • The download file is an Excel (.xlsx) format, comprising three tabs. The first give information on the download (date, version, licence), the second gives the data parameters (ie the data formats in each field to aid import) and the third tab is the database with a header row.
  • We are creating an “RX Pro” version of the data that includes comparative data points (on turnover, traffic, profit, share price). If you are interested in piloting or upgrading please let us know via research@retailx.net – we anticipate this will be available in early 2024.

Errors and omissions excepted.
