M&S bolsters online footwear presence with Crocs, Sketchers and Toms partnership

M&S

Marks and Spencer (M&S) has added Crocs, Skechers and Toms to its online roster of third-party brands, in a bid to grow market share.

The three footwear brands will join the 60 other third-party brand partners on the retailer’s website.

According to the retailer, the brands join at a time when each is “delivering strong performance independently,” with all reporting double-digit revenue growth, accounting for 76% of menswear and 45% of womenswear in the footwear sector.

M&S already sells other third-party footwear brands, which include Clarks children’s shoes.

“At M&S, our footwear performance is at its strongest during the autumn/winter – customers come to us because they know they can trust in the value, style and quality of our range – from leather boots to loafers,” M&S managing director of clothing and home Richard Price said.

“Through our Brands at M&S platform, we are building a carefully curated offer of third-party partners, which enhances customers’ shopping experience and increases our style credentials.

“With the arrival of three global brands in the leisure footwear category, together with a refreshed and reshaped own-brand offer, we’re confident that we have a compelling footwear offer to win during the summer months, too.”

Recently, the omnichannel retailer partnered with plus-size fashion brand Live Unlimited in a bit to “enhance” its core womenswear offering.
